Hello everyone, my name is Katie. I'm 25 and I am a newly single "almost" parent. My boy is due in early September. I just got dumped by the father, (today actually) and am trying to adjust to thinking in a new way about parenting without his help. I am very grateful that support groups like these exist or I don't know where I would be.

Sorry to hear that you are going it alone, but it can be done and sometimes it is easier.

I am in the Parkrose district of Stumptown.

I am staying with my mother in Eagle Creek right now. It is in between Estacada and Sandy, a little redneck town. I am staying with her to try and have as healthy a pregnancy as possible and to get myself away from bad influences.

My ex and kids were at Silver Fox RV park for most of a year, she is now in Boring. It is a long story, I now have temp custody of the kids and go back to court end of Aug. for full custody.

I have driven around most of the smaller towns between Portland Salem and beyond for different jobs.

Including...to be sure to file for child support because it shouldn't be entirely without his help.

This is a great place to vent and get advice, the people here have been through a lot and will always have great advice for ya! BTW I am in the Corvallis/Albany area, not sure how close that is to you though....
