The kind of books I've been reading are more for my own benefit, in turn to help with my parenting. For example, the Purpose Driven Life, When things Fall apart. A great parenting book I use is Parenting 123

Hi
I agree with the first reply; parents don't agree about everything anyway, so inevitably your children will have a different relationship with you than their dad. So...anything you can do to be a better parent as an individual will benefit your relationship. I have just started reading Parent Effectiveness Training by Dr. Thomas Gordon...and it's been helpful already. If you have teens...Positive Disclipine for Teenagers or for a specific subject, go to amazon.com and search your topic then read the description and people's ratings. Good luck! Smiler
