I dont know about everyone else...but Ive found there really isnt a magazine that a single parent can really relate to on most levels.

I for one love Cosmopolitan, but,it is aimed at mostly single women w/o kids. And I really like Parenting magazine too, but it seems more geared to couples. And although its a great magazine, I feel it doesnt cover enough of issues that single parents have.

Maybe we can get SFV in a magazine format one day. I think we cover every issue we have..and then some. Wink

I think that's a good idea. I think you have landed on a wonderful market idea. I think there are enough single parents out there that would help make it a success. It would be geared directly toward our needs and our lifestyles.

There is a very limited online magazine for single parents. You can check it out here....

Nesting Solo

Anyway, I have read a few good articles in the past year or so. It is only produced once a month and consists of one article so it is pretty hit-or-miss. I met the woman who was creating it and she was aiming toward a full mag at the time. It must not have worked out.

Thanks for the info. Great article. I've book marked it. I hope she's still trying to make the site into regular magazine. Imagine how many people she could help.

I agree with all of you. You would figure with how many single parent families there are these days there would be more out there for us. I went to a bookstore the other day and was looking in the parent section and there wasn't a single book on single parenting!!
