Just wanted to let everyone know that since I first posted the original topic, my hubby has had a changed heart. He and my daughter had a heart to heart discussion last night about the situation. My daughter was able to get a lot of things off her chest about how she feels about her stepfather and his lack of support. She was able to make him see that she was just a scared kid and that she really needs him to be her dad right now.

Well needless to say, towards the end of the conversation both of them shed tears, and for the first time in a long time they showed genuine affection towards each other.
I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who prayed for my family. You guys have made a believer out me in regards to the power of prayer.

I will be attending Mass for the first time since my Mom died to give thanks to God and to all of you.

God Bless,
Ceci65

I'm so glad everything is at peace. I'm glad we could help along with making you a believer! Yes, God can get you through the worse times, he always is there to answer your blessings. I knew he would come around. It was probably hard on him finding out the news of the new addition to the family.
