Anyone gone through one/currently going through one? I'm in the beginning stages of mine. I've never actually met anyone else who has gone through one. If anyone has, I'd love to hear how it went...how long it takes...the outcome...ect (If you don't mind sharing).

Hi-
I got my marriage annulled about two years ago. It was pretty easy because my ex and I didn't get married in the Church, so it was annulled due to "lack of form". It was about $40 fee, I submitted the application and they sent me the annulment papers a few months later. I know that if you were married in the Church, there is a little more that you have to do but if you really want your marriage annulled, it's worth it.
Hope that helps-

-Teresa

I am currently going through one. I completed the paperwork, had to go the long version unfortunately. They said it should take about a year. I won't hear anything from them for a couple months either, after I submitted my paperwork. They try to prove why you shouldn't of married to begin with, not why the marriage went wrong. If you went through any counseling prior to marriage? Talked to your priest? Consulted on your decision in any way is helpful for them to discern from that. Good luck, keep in touch regarding it as I'm going through it also, maybe we can help each other.
