So today I picked Bridger up from preschool and his teacher gave me another incident report, second one this week! Apparently he grabbed another child by the face, put him in a headlock and bit the top of his head...did I mention that he's only two (my son that is, the other child is almost four). On Monday he gave a different child what the teacher described as a bear hug, and then bit him on the cheek! Seriously! I'm a pacifist, where the heck is the coming from?!?!? I try to talk to him about it, but I can't tell how much he's grasping since his vocabulary is so limited.

I've made an appointment at the speech and hearing clinic to assess him for any problems, I'm hoping that once he starts talking more he'll be able to express himself without putting kids twice his age in a headlock...groan...sorry, maybe this should go in the rants...just a crappy start to the quarter...and I really don't want to be the parent of the local bully...

Maybe he's going to grow up and be a pro wrestler....
And in this corner...... Bridger "The Bellingham Biter"......just kidding...

At that age he had to learn that behavior somewhere..
What's he watching on TV...
Pre-schools are good for learning bad behavior as well...
Checking his hearing is a good idea too...

I told my dad about this and he cracked up, actually pretty much everyone has...maybe I'm making too big a deal of it. I'm just such a mellow person, that I have a hard time believing my spawn can be so opposite. But he is 100% rough and tumble boy.

I've always had strict limitations on what he can watch on TV, I fast forward through the fight scenes in Lion King even. He just has this natural tendency to be really really physical with others. As weird as this might seem, I'm actually looking forward to the day he's old enough to sign up for karate. I'm thinking the discipline and respect that comes with might be a good thing for him.
