I have advocated for years that there should be a federal law, making it a felony, for stupidity....and it's long overdue.
You're stupid and someone gets hurt...you go to jail....period.

I present two cases into evidence.....

#1.-----> http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8451232
Grandma should be charged with a class A felony for stupidity...and sentenced to life in a swamp.
As well as taken out back and slapped about the head neck face and well her whole damn body.....STUPID....

And Wal-Mart Sams Club spokeswoman Tara Stewart says...
"Stewart said as of right now they do not have a policy on concealed weapons, but after this incident, that could change.
Welcome to Sams Club...please empty your pockets in the tray and step this way.......STUPID....
And watch friendly Wal-Mart Sams Club sue the 4 yr old for lost profits for having to close for an hour.

#2.-----> http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8452090
Since we're taking grandma to the swamp...load these daycare workers and bus driver up and dump them too..STUPID...

WTF is wrong with people........STUPID....it's the only conclusion my half-a-brain can come too....

Wow after reading these two articles I would have to agree...Stupid people do need to be charged based on stupidity alone. How the heck do you forget a child in a van at daycare...my kids daycare counts then getting in the van, getting out of the van, walking through every door...it's called accountability...I can't believe that no one noticed this kid was missing for that period of time. As for Grandma I can't even comment on that one.

I've made my opinion on gun control well known here and among my friends so I'll just keep my mouth shut on the fact that the average American citizen shouldn't even HAVE a handgun, much less have said gun anywhere near where a child might be........

Ok well maybe my mouth wasn't shut there but oh well....lol.

The daycare thing is a nightmare. I got lucky when I found the sitter I had for Katie and Alex. Daycares don't keep the same hours I worked (24 hour shifts) and I had to be very careful about where I took Alex since a lot of daycare providers were uncomfortable taking care of a child with special needs. Even though you need to treat Alex like any other kid, if I sensed that there were reservations about it, I just skipped right over them. I can't tell you how many times Katie got put on the wrong bus after school though....lol. She rode different busses when she came home and when she went to the sitter's so our bus schedule was crazy.

Yeah the average citizen can't be trusted with a CAR, nevermind a handgun.

Roll Eyes hmmm,... there are several issues being raised on this thread, but I am going to leave most alone.

While these are horrible incidents that should be punished in both criminal and civil court, I don't think you can legislate against stupidity. They have done so here in a couple of cases (no HB they did NOT pass a law that I couldn't leave my house)>>>>

Here in Davidson County you can not have a grill (be it charcoal or Gas) on the patio/balcony of any multifamily structure (ie apartment). Note: I did not say you can't USE a grill on your patio,... it can't even be on your patio!!!! The story goes that some stupid pinhead thought the coals in the bottom of his grill were cooled down enough. So he put them in a PLASTIC grocery bag and left it on a WOODEN deck. Of course there was a fire and someone unfortunately lost their life.

ALL BECAUSE OF STUPIDITY !

That same grill law is here too. My sister's apartment complex wont allow grills anywhere but at the club house. Makes sense though anyway.

Its too bad there aren't laws against stupidity.
