Last night some neighbors & our kids walked up to Rita's together. Upon sitting on a bench eating our ices i realize i don't have my fricken keys! I have no clue what i could have done with them. It is dark as we head back home so following our tracks & looking for my keys was not easy. So, i'm locked out of my house & car & have to be at work super early today. I called my mom who is about 40 miles away & she had a spare, so i was eventually able to get in the house (i had a spare house key & car key in the house as well). I have never done this before & felt so stupid.

So, i'm going to retrace my steps later today. But, if they don't turn up should i change my locks? It's not like there is any address identifier on the keys...

But, coincidentally the power went out this morning while i was in the shower & i was petrifed - totally convinced the axe murderer had my keys & was on the other side of the bathroom door.

How scary! Axe murderer!

I think you should retrace your steps today. They've got to turn up.

BTW, if it helps, I lost my keys once. I was all set to leave the house in the morning, and I looked everywhere for them.

Found them hanging in the doorknob. They had been hanging there all night! I'm so lucky no one came in, or took off with my car!

In the shower? ugh. I have such shower fears and I've never even seen psycho. I still have mark greene from ER flashbacks when I wash my face!

Ok first call the police to see if anyoyne turned them in. Then when you retrace your steps knock on doors of businesses along the way and ask them too. Also, if you see a good looking man walking down the street, ask him too - even if you've already found them (grin)

If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right.

Come on...being a little over dramatic here aren't we......
Everyone knows they use chainsaws now....duh....

Tiff don't feel stupid...yer not alone here...I've done that several times....
But I always get someone going by who notices and sits out here honking their horn and hollering....
Don't get yer arse out of the car and come tell me just sit there honking and hollering...

Ok, well, when I said I did that once, I guess I meant I've done it 3 times.

All that was missing was the sign saying, "Come on in, the shower's fine!"

I lose my keys all the time!!!!! It is a big joke in my family and at work...my father even went as far as to buy me a super huge keychain and another keychain that when you whistle it beeps (funny though, he doesn't realize I never learned how to whistle) Even with these two new keychains I managed to misplace them at least three times in the last two months!!

I hope you find them as I know how frustrating trying to figure out how you lost them.

Woo Hoo! I found them in a yard 6 houses away. They must have fallen out of my pocket while catching lightning bugs for the kiddies.

I am sooo relieved. It sure was a pain having to actually open my car door manually - LOL - we are a spoiled society.
