So Friday I drop my kids off at their mom's house for an overnight stay and they are dropped off at my house on Saturday. First thing I hear is that Amy(10) has a bruise on her hand from her mom throwing a doll at her. So I call the police non emergency number(don't wast my time on the hot line any more) and before the officer show up I find out Joel has a sore back from mom hitting him.

So Joel is shaking a doll until it's head comes off(it was already broke) and Amy has a crying fit so "mom" throws the doll at Amy who covers her head and gets hit in the hand and Molly gets hit after the doll hits Amy, then "mom" has Joel on the floor double fisting his back.

So Amy emails the kids attorney, I email my attorney, and child services calls Sunday afternoon. Monday morning my atty tells me the kids attorney wants to talk to them at my house.

So now I am not to talk to or email my ex and not let the kids see her until I get told otherwise.

So HB does this qualify as being a dumb person?

Guilty as charged...Stupid...to the swamp...

Dale I'm sorry the kids, and you, had to go through this.
After all you've been through how dumb can she be...
Do what you have to do for the kids.
At this point you know the routine...bright side maybe you can end it here for good.

How awful for those poor kids!! I am going through a similair situation-kinda of--I know the guilt you feel for putting the kids in that situation because you think maybe they finally got it together and deserve a chance to show it. I will keep your kids in my prayers today!

Oh heck yeah, much more serious that "here's your sign" stupidity.
Sounds like a good dose of supervised visitation/parenting and anger management classes is in order......at the VERY MINIMUM.

Hey I'm pretty much new here....just joined yesterday but I'm really sorry to hear what has happend to your kids and what you are going through.

My son was 2 when he had his first month long visitation with his dad and when he finally returned home to me, there was a mark on his face that seemed to look like a bruise in the shape of a finger print that was healing up. My attorney told me there was really nothing I can do because I couldn't prove it (ex was in WI and my son and I live in NY) especially since my son was not of age to form proper sentences and all. I know it's hard to look at the bright side of things, but at least your kids are of age that can talk to their attorney and the court to let them know what really happened etc....

I truly am sorry you and especially your kids had to go through that. Thoughts and prayers are with ya.

An update.

It has been 5 weeks and no contact from her, no email, no phone call, no letter, no threats from her atty. The DHS case worker hasn't even had contact with her.

My atty. and the kids atty. are going to conference call with her atty.to try to settle this before court the end of August.

I will post more when It is over.

Wow...sorry you had to deal with that. Hopefully, that last incident was the LAST time she is ever around those kids....
