Kylie spent a night and part of a day with my little sis who is a vegie munching idiot

now kylie is swearing off meat...This can't be healthy for her

so tomorrows dinner is going to be a nice steak dinner with a side of brussel sprouts (she hates them)

then tues. i think I will go to Mcdonalds and me and Connor will get burgers and she can get a salad.. wed maybe chicken and kylie can have nice plate of sprouts and lyma bean salad yumm

Oh hummus on thursday

if she makes it that long

OMG talk about tough...However if she happens to get through all your tempations what then...LMAO!! I think your safe there though...What girl can pass up
your "tempations" Mark..LOL!! Razzer

It's funny though b/c I have a niece that decided at 5 that she was going to be a vegitarian & not eat anything that an animal had to be killed for to provide (milk & dairy are ok) She is 22 and still going strong with her belief! She is extremely beautiful, smart, strong & very active...on the ski team at Fairfield College where she is studying to be a nurse! My sister-in-law has been pretty creative over the years at creating meals for her that provided the right nutrition for her to grow healthy! I guess once she realized she couldn't persuade her then just go w. it..and the doctors support. My brother however had the McDonalds & steak attitude like you...This is a guy that used to drip pizza juice & steak juice into his girls mouths as babies....ROFLMAO!! Big Grin

Try your tricks...but hey life could be worse!! So as for your sister does she have any other thigs that your little Kylie is going to want to do b/c she obviously ADORES her Auntie!!! Smiler

4 U LC...LOL!!

Tofu is NOT real food......

Tofu is bean curd, dude, it's real food....it's just not very good food. Especially for those of us with canines and eyes in front of our heads...you know...predators.

The down side to eatting rabbit food is the amount of Iron a girl needs. In their teens its double what a boy needs, and getting it without eatting meat is hard.
Oh, steamed carrots would be enough to turn me carnavoir(sp), I allways found them extremely slimy when I was a kid. Razzer

I'm not a vegetarian, but at the age of about 13 I decided I couldn't eat red meats anymore. No pork, no beef. I still eat chicken and turkey though. And my decision came after I ate a burger and felt a crunch in it and decided all the blood and grissel and tendons and weird stuff I see in certain meats just grosses me out. Somehow, chicken and turkey don't do that to me. I wish I could just stick to seafood and pasta on a daily basis. Oh yeah, and couldn't live without CHEESE. It's my FAV!! Razzer However, I do encourage my kids to eat all kinds of meat. I just want them to get a taste of all kinds of food and as they get older, make their own decisions on what they like or dislike.

I dont eat red meat often. The other night I did get a steak when I went to dinner with a friend but that was because the menu mostly consisted of fish, and I hate fish! lol

I grew up on turkey and chicken, even the hotdogs (HB) were and still are turkey dogs. We dont really eat pork, not because we dont like it, just because I dont buy it. Kai doesn't really like red meat. She is also being raised on turkey and chicken. I do eat crab and shrimp too.

The problem with most red meat, hamburgers and such with me is because I'm not used to it, so it makes me a little queesy after eating it.

Anyway, Mark, let your girl be who she wants to be and if that means you making vegan dishes, then so be it. They make a lot of alternatives and some aren't really that bad. Tofu is good if you cook it the right way.
