A quick background: my son's dad is an idiot. Okay, that should be sufficient!

I pick my son up from his father after work today & he is bald - my baby is only 5. He recently got a buzz cut & it looked really cute, but it wasn't down to his scalp. Anyway, last week the bozo offered to shave it 'to save me money' (um...that wouldn't even be necessary if he'd pay child support, but i digress)i said thanks, but no thanks. This just irks the **** outta me. Now i have to worry that his head is going to get burned at daycamp - actually, i'm sure it will. This guy is such a tool. Luckily my baby is a cutie pie & can pull off this look. My son kept asking if i was mad at daddy - i told him no & that he looked handsome but we should leave the haircuts to the barber. He kept saying 'daddy told me you're going to be mad'. Fricking bozo.

Also, upon pickup i call to tell him i'm out front & he's saying 'is this the mother of the stinky boy?' 'did you come to get this stinky boy?' - he lives in a tiny efficiency so i know he said it for our son to hear - he was being mean & then actually said 'you should pay me for today' - WTF? can't even handle 5 hrs a week. okay, vent over.

Hey, that's what we're here for - vent away ! Putting the child in the middle & using him to try and get to you - how classy. Idiot, bozo - come on let it out - you can do better than that (there's actually a topic for that around here somewhere) ! Sorry for your (and your son's) rough day.

oh, his head is shaved & that's exactly why he did it - he wanted to show off a 'mini me' to some friends today. seriously. he finally shaved off his mohawk that he's been sportin for the past year - i'm all for nonconformity & artistic individuality & all that, but this guy is a 35 yr old loser - not an artist, not a rockstar, just a completely useless tool.

Totally different situation here and I think you should hold him down and wax EVERYTHING off him to help him save time and money....lol...but this reminded me of a phone call I got from a friend of mine not too long ago. She calls me crying because her ex had taken their son to the barber with him and they got matching buzz cuts. Now a buzz cut wouldn't be my first choice for this little guy since he has major ear issues but he wanted to look like his daddy and when I saw the pictures he did actually look pretty cute. My friend was crying and screaming saying "who does he think he is making a decision like this." Then I very calmly reminded her of HIS reaction when she took their daughter and got all her lovely long hair cut off almost to her ears. I probably laughed at her for 20 minutes until she finally calmed down and admitted she was over-reacting.

I love her dearly but she's a major drama queen and she cracks me up that whenever, her ex does something she doesn't like, she calls me, her mother and HIS mother to "tell" on him. Too funny

I had a horrible dream about this last night....
I dreamed that Hannah came back and Mom had cut her beautiful hair off to the ears....I'm serious....ugh...
I was so mad and yelling "now how am I supposed to do a braid".....too funny....damn you....

Good thing I don't have a dog cuz when I woke up I'd a named it Amy and kicked it hard....

Although i'm still irritated i just can't be mad because my little guy just absolutely loves his look.

I have sole legal custody so his dad technically isn't even 'allowed' to do things like this - of course i know that's not enforcable, but i had a hundred evil little plots running around my head last night. I'm okay now - he's not worth my time.

I can totally relate to this situation...I was so adamant about my youngest not getting his hair cut when I deployed last year that I threatened everyone who would be with him with bodily harm...he still had that soft baby hair that when you cut it off never comes back as soft. Well needless to say they cut it and I was so upset. They sent me pictures and while he was still a cutie he wasn't a baby anymore.
