Well on May 19th (8 days ahh) My twins and I will be off to Alberta (from Ontario) We'll be there only for 3 mths, but moving there for the summer just seems like such a big deal!
We are flying out (my brother and the twins dad drove out 2 weeks ago, they took alot of our clothes and the double jogging stroller) So all I'll have is a suitcase with a bit of clothes and stuff for all 3 of us, and then a carry on, and both the kids of course.
But we're allowed to have up to 5 more peices checked in baggage if needed. Rite now I'l have 2 carseats (which i guess leaves room for 3 more peices, lol)
Anyway I cant think of what, if anything else to bring.
Has anyone else moved with their young children? Is there anyway to make it less stressfull for us all, Any advice would be great, I'm getting scared myself, I've never been away from home for this long, I know we'll do great once were out there, rite now I'm jsut trying to get through the actual goodbyes and getting out there part!

My best friend is a mother of twins. She bought a big pack of beef jerky for them to chew on and a double dvd player for the car. Idont know about there but here the car seats dont count as your bags. You might want to check that out. Have fun and take lots of pictures!

My kids are usualy very good at travelling, we're always out and about, so thats not really a problem, I'm mostly nervous about having them live in a different house, I know my house made me feel so safe and secure growing up, and since I've never moved I dont really know how it will affect young children (altho I know its only for a short time, but to them, it may feel like alot longer, without grandpa and alot of their friends and toys) Im bringing one suitcase for toys, I wasnt going to, but well theyre onyl 3 they need toys, lol, I wont be going over in baggage so thats not a worry anymore.
I just want them to do ok with being in a new place, any ideas on how to make it more comfortable for us all?

My mom made sure to explain what a vacation is and that we are comen home. She did a cout down on the calender when I started to get home sick. Bring pictures of the family members that they see often and favorite toy/blanket. Keep them busy I think that they will be just fine and really enjoy the summer vacation!
