I am New to SFV

Hello-
I am new to this, my husband of 12 yrs walked out on my three boys and myself last Sat. He now wants me to let the boys go over to his apartment that he is sharing with a co-worker who just happens to be a woman. He swears she's just a friend. I don't know if I'm ok with it. Am I just being jealous? Need advice.

Welcome

If you don't have a court order then you can do as you see fit, also he doesn't have to send them back.

To let them visit in that situation depends on how you think it will affect your boys, me I wouldn't, but would offer an alternative.

Hope this helps.

Just say no!! :-)

Letting them go with him is so risky in many ways. As Grandpa Dale says above, the number one reason is that he has no legal obligation to give them back to you (unless the court tells him to).

Also, who knows who this woman is, what their relationship is, etc.

These kids just had their Dad walk out on them last Saturday! They are in enough trauma right now to have to deal with a new apartment, meeting a new woman (Even if only a friend - which I seriously doubt, and I am truly sorry if that hurts you. I also experienced divirce via infidelity and I know it is so painful it is easy to pretend it is not happening. But guys don't live with a woman roomate unless they are involved or at least want to be involved. ((Hugs))

Now back to your kids. Seriously, tell him if he wants to see the kids he is welcome to come over and visit (you can offer to stay in the other room if he wants privacy) or you can all go out to eat, or whatever. Just you and him and the kids. Give them time to heal before they see his new place.

My prayers are with you.
