For the past couple of months, my 12 yr son's personality is so draining. One minute he's happy and excited about something, then he's down and very "touchy" and irritable. There are no lifestyle changes in his life to trigger magor personality changes. Is this hormones? Or could it be something more? I am concerned. Generally, he's a pretty quiet, well-behaved child.

It sounds like puberty.

yeah, it does sound like puberty. I dont have much experience with children his age. but i think that he may have something going on in his personal life, like with friends and stuff maybe. Lately i've been checking out books from the library to get some parenting tips.
