i am 27 years old and a single dad the mother of my child has abonden us on christmas day of 2006. she got into use of heavy drugs such as crack and other things and havent seen her in over a year. we were broken up for 8 months b4 that and going our seprate ways then she started doing the drugs from hanging out with the wrong people and eventully came to me for help sayin she didnt wanna be what she was turning into.so i quit my good job quit the the record label i was on and immeditly moved out of state to a friends house i knew through music to get away from the people and things that were ruining her life.we were there for about a month till christmas day she went back to where the problems were to do the same thing again with the same people. so i was left in another state with no car no job and noone to watch my kid so i could work.eventully i had to leave there to go back to delaware, where i was living before when i left everything behind to live wit someone else and get my old job back.that didnt work. so i tryed going to the state for help with daycare and other asstintance and they wouldnt give me daycare unless i was already working which makes no sence.its been over a year now and i am still fighting the same battle to get daycare and housing what i havent mentioned in between is, i lived 7 other places between 10 months after i came back to delaware and im about to be avictid once again from the place i am living now with a friend due to not being able to pay the rent.now i would of never guessed me being in this postion in a millon years but it has happened to me and i cant seem to get out of this mess.if anyone knows of any finanical,housing or day care help in delaware or anything please let me know.it just seems noone wants to help a single father in delaware and i am to the point were i just dont know what to do anymore. and i am not the kinda person to talk about these things on message boards but it has came to this.please help!
