Right i think i put this in right place this time lol!!1

okay well unlike most you single Dads my case is slightly Different (Read my story on other posts). But basically I have brought my 4 year old up almost unaided since birth. my wife strayed and recently left me. She has given me full custody as long as i give her full access. But i not sure a what that means. we haven't started divorce proceedings just yet. I Know laws in UK favor women over men but does that hold true in case where i brought up baby since second he born (in 4 year his mum only took him out 1 day!!). i torn in to wondering if this means she will take him from me.

Hi drakesteel,

I can't imagine a judge giving the mother custody if she's barely done anything since your child was born (do you have a son or a daughter?).

Maybe you could find out some information at the Citizen's Advice Bureau.

Or you could try an organisation like Gingerbread. Have you heard of it?

Gingerbread - The only lone parent family organisation run by lone parents for lone parents.

Good luck!

your story sounds alot like mine . I just got the divorce finalized and I have legal joint custody of my 2 children. the judge doesn't have a lot of say if the mother agrees to the terms of the divorce. the kids live with me and she has open visitation limited to 100 days a year. the limit was put in becouse of child support. I you give more the child support is less.
