At A loss for Words - NOT!

I just started reading this book, I'm about half way through. I haven't seen the movie yet but plan to when I finish the book. Has anyone read it, or is anyone else reading it?

My step mom keeps buzzing about the movie but she doesn't like to read actual books. Good luck with finishing it though. Let me know if it ends good.

The author is Ann Brashares.

I love reading a book before I see the movie of it. I should have it finished soon. I'm one that when I have a good book, I have a hard time putting it down.

I read all three of the Traveling Pants books and insisted my daughter read at least the first before seeing the movie. We both loved them (book and movie) and yes she and I cried watching the movie.
The books remind me of a teenage version of Ya Ya Sisterhood..... female friendships.

The books are my absolute favorites... The first is the best, but then I think it's the third, I didn't like the second as much. And the movie is very high up there on my favorites list as well. They are in negotiations right now with the actresses about doing a second and a third film. I love the relationships between all of them and I cried when I first was the movie. I actually saw it in the thrartre three times, once with my sisters, once with my mom and once with a good friend. My daughter's are too young for it now, but when they are old enough it is definately somthing I want them to read. I can't wait for the DVD to come out on Oct. 11.

Gabriel's mom,
Yes, Ya Ya Sisterhood, is a book as well. As a matter of fact, there are 3 books now and Ya Ya is the second.
Check them out they are very good.

I love this book. I'm actually a middle school librarian so I recommend it to a lot of girls and I've yet to have any students come back feeling ambivilent toward it, they all love it, too.

I haven't actually read the Second Summer or Third Summer books because I've only got one copy of each and they're constantly generating a reserve list in my library. I'd rather the books be there for the kids. Big Grin

I bought the first two for my daughter and I to read this summer. I plan to knock them out in June and then send them with her to her dad's for the month of July. We can discuss them during phone calls while she is there and when she comes home.

We watched the movie a few weeks ago and really liked it.
