Over the weekend I pulled out a book that mother handed down to me. It's called "The Everything Book" published in 1974 by Eleanor Vance.

It has some GREAT ideas on how to keep little ones to about age 10 busy, learning, and best of all occupied for hours. Everything from songs and rhymes, to making dolls with dish cloths. Most ideas use common household items, and have zero cost.

I didn't find this book new anymore, but I did find several sites that had used copies starting at about $3.00! You can find it at: www.alibris.com Use the title search for "The Everything Book" Barns and Noble may also have out of print copies.

This was the best thing that my mother ever handed down to me, and I wanted to pass the info along!

If anyone else has more books, and resources, please add to this post!
