Getting My Feet (Board) Wet
Posted
I haven't been here in a while but i feel like bragging about my little boy. He was born by c-section on november 2 at 8:55 am. he was a week late. i labored for 24 hours when the doctors noticed the baby's heart rate was dropping dangerously low. when he came out all covered in goop i couldn't believe how much i already loved him. the avril lavigne song "I'm with you" was playing in the background in the OR. He's the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. he amazes me everyday. while i was pregnant i was so worried about his dad not being around and being a big jerk and how i would get irritated when people would touch my belly when i was shopping or whatever (sometimes i actually miss that). now that he's here, i can't imagine a time when i was happier. his dad still isn't around...in fact i haven't heard from him since the beginning of june. but i hardly think of him anymore. baby nolan fills up the empty space that his dad never could. i've gone from never imagining myself as a mom to not being able to imagine my life without my precious little boy. i can honestly say that i'm proud to be nolan's mommy.

Congrats Nolansmommy, I am so happy to hear that you are so excited and in love with your baby boy. You will be a great mom on your own, sometimes its easier than having to deal with a jerk hanging around. I am also expecting a baby in 2 months and I am nervous about doing it alone also. I am glad to hear that once the baby came you felt better. Thanks for sharing.

I know how you felt when, I was pregnant with my son. I was so depressed because the father was'nt around. But the moment my son was born all my depression went away. That was eight years ago and it's been a joy walking him grow up to be a man. Father still not in the picture ran into him a few times over the years. Son only seen in may be once or twice but was to young to remember him.

It's absolutley wonderful isn't it. Everything that ever mattered to you before vansishes and you find yourself wondering what you ever did before they were born.
