I am New to SFV

I am 23 and have been on bedrest now for three months. Even though I have Doctors excuses not to work the government will still not help me. I am about to lose my car because I have not been able to make a payment on it. I have no income and nobody to help me. I have tried calling state programs to churches in the area. I live in Ohio so if anyone knows where or who I should look to next I would greatly appreciate it!!!

i kinda had something like this happen to me ... only instead of being on bedrest i was forced on my medical leave early( i was 5 months) so i wnet to unemployment with my doctors note and i was able to collect that. you do however have to be able to look for work and if your on bedrest i dont know if that idea will work. you could try disablility. i also looked into that .. being that you are ob bedrest making you un able to work and the EEOC does consider pregnant women temporarly disabled that might work. so those are the only things i can thing of sorry if it doesnt help you any and good luck.

I used to live in Cincinnati. I have a friend there who has a son and does not work. Look for low income housing or section 8. Also if you apply for medicaid you can also get welfare assistance. YTou can try the disability thing. Apply for social security disability, however i will warn you that is an extremely long process. hope some of this helps.

There's something called temporary disability, I think it's through welfare. Maybe they have it there.
