I rarely go to the movies but I will be there July 17th at midnight to catch The Dark Knight. Anyone else pumped for this film? I think it is being released in IMAX theatres as well so I may have to check see if there is one nearby.

I am so there... but I am a HUGE movie buff. They just opened a new luxury Warren Theater across the street from my house in April and I've been there 9 times so far.

I saw 21 twice (I LOVE Kevin Spacey flicks), Nim's Island with my daughter, Speed Racer, Iron Man, What Happens In Vegas, Made of Honor, and *** and the City, and most recently, You Don't Mess With the Zohan. What can I say? I have no life, and my only time alone is after the kids go to bed and my roomate doesn't mind keeping an eye on them so I can go sit in a dark theater for a couple of hours.

So did this live up to all the hype? That's what I want to know.

Great movie!!! The performances were extremely good and the plot was very engaging!

Like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight is a really great movie. Blows the previous series of Batman movies away and a rare instance where the hype is justified. Nobody can touch the Joker role again IMO.

Since this is a parenting site let me just add that The Dark Knight is probably the first truly adult oriented superhero film to date. The film is not heavy on language and blood but the implied violence is VERY intense and sometimes disturbing.

I'm going to see it for a 3rd time this weekend.
