I just took the kids to see Lilo and Stitch yesterday (finally!). It was actually good because I got my 7 year old to talk about families, and that some families are different but still families. It also brought up the concept of not leaving family behind, and my daughter finally opened up that she feels like she left her mom behind. So we got to talk about the difference between leaving someone behind, and someone asking to be left behind. Pretty theraputic.
