Yep! I've seen it...was discussing it in-depth with Sarah ...she hasnt seen it.

I like it...and generally agree with the concept. What I disagree with was the concept that a "person" is in control of what ever happens to him or her...wich effectively renders the idea of "God" a moot point.

But, I guess that's a topic for another forum...Razzer

Yeap I can see that

the concept of the individual focusing on what they want and not on the things that they don't want or what is wrong with thier lives. - gotta love the concept of positive energy, prayer, gratitude
I think it is uplifting.

The Bible is completely full of many of the concepts The Secret discusses. Which by the way, the power of positive thinking is not new by any means and is no way anything you need to spend tons of money to invest in. What I will say however, is that God says that He will give you the desires of your heart. Not the universe - but God. And also, He gives you the desires of your heart. He decides to give you your hearts desire. He cannot be manipulated by your positive thinking nor will he deny you your hearts desire if you think negatively.

You could get just as good advice from reading the Bible. and it is cheaper.

The concept is really similar to the bestseller book "The Promise"

I need to do some of these life changing habits to get things on a different track.

thanks for sharing Harmony.

Ok, I snuck in.
Actually I use the ideas of teh Secret in my teen program. Have done that for years before the book came out. Yes alot of it is in the bible, written differently, and the concept isn't new by any means. But many families don't go to church, nor do they read the bible and since the children come from many different religions, to cover my butt, I have to refrain from using the bible per say, although I do often make reference to it. I encourage people if they don't read the bible, or that don't easily understand the bible (i'm one of those that have to have someone interpret certain sections for me), those books are a great reminder and each one of them are great if one can grow even on one idea teh book presents, than it was probably worth every cent.
AS for the universe, I believe in a Force. And many people will call it different things. I don't see God as a person somewhere in the universe, just as Jesus was a person who lived here on earth and yet God is within each and every one of us. Yet there is one bible. As for manipulating by positive thinking, I don't think it is manipulating...some people do manipulate, but having hearts desires doesn't mean one is manipulating. Positive thinking is a good thing, as it actually helps to balance the chemicals in your brain to function better. If someone was always thinking negatively, of course it is negative consequences that will follow including your health. So naturally it is a choice, to think positively or to not i guess, and that is only my opinion of course. I hope I didn't offend anyone. So for those who want to spend money on books, read away. I think reading is a great thing, can be refreshing to see it written differently, and who knows, maybe it will be one of those "ah ha" experience where you say "that is what that meant in the bible"...I've done that often. LOL

Actually, I can see where your coming from. But the way I interepreted it, is your responsible for what happens to you based on your thought process..and you cannot do it alone. The book refers to it as a "Force". So nothing is done alone because we are ONE with the Force, or I prefer to call it GOD, and when used in harmony with it, then we can make things happen. Of course it won't be in our time, but in HIS time.

Hello everyone,

I saw this movie last year and I tell you it confirmed to me what I have been experiencing. I also get excited about this subject and these types of movies and it brings me so much joy. I can keep talking about this on and on...
Roll Eyes
I have been practicing these principles more in depth for the past 2 years along with other friends and we have had good results.

Blessing to all!

Has anyone seen "What The Bleep Do We Know"?
