OMG they did not do very good this week either! The second round was better, but the first was horrible! I love Jason, but he doesn't act like he wants to be there anymore, David C, David A, and Syesha are the only ones who act like they really want it! Brooke kinda bugs me now....

If either Jason or Brook do not go home tonight, I may very well quit watching this season.

Totally agree. Well, except I'm not changing the channel. I've invested too much time that should have been spent studying to stop now!

I don't know if it's them or if it's the dang music they have to sing! Neil Diamond? Come ON... It reminded me of sitting at the orthadontist waiting for a mold of my teeth to get done. Mariah Carrey? Dolly Parton? (Don't get me wrong, I love Dolly), but I mean - why not just throw Whitney Houston into the mix??!! What are they thinking? Okay, okay...I guess they have to find out if they can make the song "their own." It's just annoying. I liked it when they used to throw out some better options for the contestants like "70's week," etc. Anyway, you are so right 4strong. The first round really stunk, but the second round wasn't too bad. I thought David Cooke was really good the second time, but the first one was pretty bad. I know it was time for Brooke to go home, I was just sad to see her go. Syesha is growing on me. She's just the cutest thing and she's really singing good now too. I think Jason has too big of a fan-base to go home next week, so I hope he does good and earns it. He totally acts like he doesn't really care. I even saw him yawning last week on results night before he went out! He's not even nervous! Smiler How funny.
Okay, I'm at school...I better get going. bye guys!

Well, I'll keep watching now Big Grin Waiting to see how next week goes also.
I only somewhat agree about the songwriters/singers that they had to use. They do choose many of those artists as a challenge for the contestants. They want them to rearrange, update, and make those songs their own. That's why even Simon gives his best praise to the ones that did the best with that in mind. The rest he says is cruise ship, or karaoke, or whatever his word for the night happens to be.
Still.....Mariah Carrey night bored me to death Big Grin

Alright....next to go........please........send Jason home Confused

David Cook is da man. Even if he doesn't win American Idol I'd bet money he still gets the best music career out of anyone this season.

I agree, I'm still not sure if he will though, little David has the older vote and a lot of the pre teen girls like him. Jason should go home next, he doesn't even act like he wants to be there (but dang is he pretty!) But I think it will be Syesha

I agree with all of you.

I know, Don...you're right. They need to take a challenge and make a song their own. I just was bored to tears with Mariah Carey night AND Broadway with Andrew Lloyd Weber. I know it was probably too easy last season when they could just pick anyone out of a decade of music, but...I really like that...what can I say...I'm selfish. Smiler I think David Cooke is the man too. He deserves to win this thing, even if he doesn't. I have a suspicion that he will win though.

I agree with you too, Heather. I loved Brooke. I thought she was beautiful, sweet, and full of life and love. Unfortunately she had a couple of difficult weeks. That's okay, though. Look at Chris Daughtry. I think he was voted out in fifth place too and he's great! Smiler You're right, at this point, they are all winners.

4-strong, yeah...I think little David has a lot of fan base too. He definitely has the "tween" vote. I think you are absolutely right about Syesha going home next week. She has been pretty consistent in the bottom vote. She's growing on me, but it's a little too late for her to make a huge comeback. Jason might go after her. It is obvious he doesn't really care if he stays or goes. It's like he went on this show as a dare or something. Smiler But you're right, there is something really adorable about him. Really they are all just so darn cute this season. Smiler

I think Jason has great taste in music but too big of an ego...very few could pull off either BoB dillan or Bob Marley.
I do think it's time for him to go home.

I agree Jason needs to go home, but I thought they were way to mean to him last night, and I wonder if people will feel sorry for him and vote... I don't like little David at all! He needs to do something other than a ballad, he just bugs me. I really hope it's David Cook and Syesha in the end.

Totally agree. They were pretty mean to Jason, even if he did need to go home. But it's funny, he didn't seem to really care, did he? He is adorable though. He totally reminds me of a young, dreadlocked version of John Travolta. And I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who is driven nuts by little David's singing. It just sounds too boring and really isn't my kind of music at ALL. Even the way he sings and moves during his performances drives me crazy. I know he's just a kid, but still...I will never buy his CD when he busts out an album. I think Syesha and that hot, yet arogant David should make it to the top two for sure. David Cooke has this one...he's just got to. I haven't watched tonight's show because I'm studying...well, I'm supposed to be. Smiler I'll save it for tomorrow morning when I can drink my coffee and enjoy. No point in voting at this point. Smiler Good night guys!
