I have a good friend that is also a single mom and we have started renting movies on the weekends. With 1 kid each, going to the movies gets quite expensive, and having to only go to see kids movies gets old. We found a great solution. This past weekend we rented a total of 7 movies, 3 for the kids and 4 for us. I rented 7 movies and popped popcorn for less than the cost of going out to the theater. They enjoyed their movies on my son's TV and we enjoyed ours in the living room. I am a Blockbuster member and part of their Rewards program. I got 2 of the rentals for free. This is a great alternative for us and still lets us have a little mommy time.
