Well I haven't done an "official" introduction anywhere, I've kind of been bouncing around on different threads. Anyway, my name is Sadie and I'm 20 years old. I live in Southeast Missouri (Bonne Terre, if you've heard of that! lol) and I have two wonderful children. Jenelle is four, and Gracelynn will be 1 on March 7th. Gracie is with her grandma in Arkansas right now - they take her every few months for two or three weeks. Kind of like visitation since her sperm donor doesn't see her.

Anyway, I've seen a lot of posts about people wanting to know how to work from home.. as well as moms wanting a roommate. I WISH I could find a roommate. Even if it involved moving. I'd do it. My ideal situation would be finding a house that is upstairs and downstairs, to where the downstairs could almost be a separate house. The bills could be shared, the childcare wouldn't be needed because we could work from home OR work different shifts.. watch each other's kids.. I mean how wonderful would that be?!

I'm just wondering if this is unrealistic or this has worked for someone else? I don't want to have hopes that won't ever turn into reality, know what I mean??

Well if anyone wants to talk.. is from Missouri.. looking for a roommate.. anything - please send me a PM! Smiler

Hi Sadie and welcome...officially. There have been posts along those lines but I have never heard the outcome. Sounds like a great idea if you can get it to work.

Enjoy the site. Oh...I see you already are. :welcome:

I've seen a few posts like this but nobody's really been around to tell me how it worked out. This is the only "link" I have to the outside world as far as single parents go.. so I figured this would be the best place to ask. Hopefully someone can tell me the good/bad of it. Smiler Thanks for the official welcome. Smiler

Greetings Sadie,

Check out www.coabode.com

It's for single mothers looking for house sharing.
Maybe you'll come up with something on that site.

Have you searched the web or your local paper for house sharing ads?

Good luck in your search for housemates.

well where I live in MO it is extremely cheap to live, you can rent a 4 bedroom house for 300 a month. Not sure on apartments, but they usually include all utilities though.
