I took care of myself for a change and had my surgery. Things are getting better. I'm no longer on pain killers and believe me no one is happier then me about that. They found quite a few things wrong and corrected it. I can for the first time in months keep up with my son. I'm still in some pain from the surgery, I felt so much better that I ripped one of my stitches...Opps. Thank goodness those are out now too. In a few more days I will start job hunting. My son has his own room now and he is showing signs that its now time for his potty training. I'm kinda haveing some issues with this, mainly because he refuses to use words. I have had his hearing checked and they said his hearing is great. Ideas and suggestions welcome. I'm also happy to say that I think things will get better no that I did have the surgery. I hope...Doc says we should know in a month or two. Hope to hear from everyone soon.

Hello Brighteyes
I'm glad that things are getting better..my prayers to you for a speedy recovery...take things slow and continue to take care of yourself..as far as potty training the little one just be patient with him and try different things, make regular trips to the bathroom, give him fluids so that he has to use it and monitor him... when he does go like a big boy he will be so happy and proud of himself...make funny sounds or funny faces you'll get a response from him and you could make potty time a game of some sort race him to the restroom or if he watches tv alot let him sit on the pot sometimes while watching tv after eating or drinking something...I'll get back to you if I hear anything that could be of use ...

My son is 18 but I had little to do with how well his training went. His great aunt watched him and she had him trained in no time. He never had accidents. My girls were a little harder but once they got it, they did well. They were both 2+ years old but the doctor said "don't force it, except in rare cases of disabilities, you don't see kids in diapers in kindergarten" People do pressure you though. I know I got a lot of pressure from family, since my son was 18 months old and the girls were over 2 before they were trained.
he'll deffinately get it in his time though. it's better too if you can have consistancy. My girls were in daycare so it wasn't a consistant environment. They didn't care much. I f you are able to be with him alot while he's awake, it should go well.

AI gave some good advice too.
Good luck and those Lysol or Clorox wipes, are great for misses Eeker
