That BIG room and she sleeps in your room????
Is there even a bed in her room? I cannot tell.

Anyway, she has a beautiful play room...I love yellow.

I wanted to tell you that I think it is harder for the parent to put the child out of their bed then it is on the child.
Most of my friends slept in bed with their children..my brother and his girlfriend still have my nephews in bed with them and they are 6 and 7. I am soooooo happy Isaac always slept in his own room. Best decision I ever made. He won't even let me leave the door cracked open It makes my life so much easier. Children who sleep in bed with you usually go to bed when you do or else you have to lay in bed with them until they fall asleep. Kind of a drag. I put Isaac to bed when it is 9:00pm, and 10:30 on the weekends( if he is good ).

I know it feels wonderful to snuggle with the most important, and most incredibly cozy little person you will ever meet....but I do that with Isaac every night on the sofa.

Not to mention the fact that he is all over the bed when he sleeps...I would have to be dodging his feet and arms all night, I would never sleep!!!!

Enjoy it for a little longer and then put her in her own room......in time for school. It is easier to put them to bed earlier.

This is just my own opinion of course....I am sure to some it is easier to keep your child in bed with you. I wouldn't know...I have always had Isaac in his own bed in his own room. It would be more of a challenge to sleep with him then to put him in his bed. I can see it being the other way around for some others.

Jennie, there is a bed in that room for her. She's sitting on it in the top photo. It's a toddler bed and it's all hers. Nothing in there is mine. LOL I am going to try Friday night to get her to sleep there. It's going to be hard but I'm gonna do it. That way, after 3 days of sleeping in her own bed and me not giving in, I can sleep in cause it will take hours to get it done but she will realize that she has to sleep in her own bed . . . I hope Smiler

It is hard but trust me....I think you will be glad...not any time soon...but next year this time, you will be thanking your lucky stars LOL!!!!!!!

If you ever meet someone...how would you move in together??? You would have to choose then and then Kai may get jealous thinking you chose some man over her.

You will avoid all that if you teach her to sleep in her own room. Make it fun. Maybe try sleeping on her floor, NOT in bed with her...This way you are in the room, Her room...with her but not in the bed. And when she falls asleep you can get up and go to your bed.

And be sure to praise her in the mornings. Make her think it is the best thing ever!!!!

You would think that with a room all decked out, that she would want to be in there. She plays and jumps on her bed, especially when the vacuum is on but she wont sleep there. She knows its her bed. We'll see. Smiler

The room is very cute. I just bought the girls some wall stickers and some border. I just have to pick up some paint.

I did start having them sleep in their own beds. It is taking some time to get used to but I think it will be worth it in the end.

LOL are there any toys that baby DOESN'T have? j/k it's beautiful. Katie's room on the other hand looks like it's been sprayed down with Pepto. It was that color when we moved in and she's adament about not changing it. I've incorporated a lot of black trying to tone down the pink but it still makes me sick to look at it...lol.

Amy, I've actually requested that no one buy her toys for her birthday or christmas because she has everything a child needs. I have requested winter clothes as she seems to be sprouting up so fast that most of her clothes dont really fit anymore. lol

A couple years ago at Christmas time, I'd just gotten my SS settlement so I went a little crazy with gift buying. My friend Melissa stopped by one day and took one look under the tree and said "well I was going to ask what I could get the kids for Christmas but it looks like you already bought everything." LOL I should post a pic of what it looked like when everything was under the tree.

That would be funny to see Amy. Last year Kai kept trying to open everyone else's presents. She loves to be santa . . . when we do xmas morning she is the one that loves to hand out presents to people. This year will be loads of fun I'm sure. I love this age!

Last Christmas was the best ever. The kids didn't get all that much considering my financial issues but we also had Kaleigh and Jordan here so we had 5 kids all losing their minds opening presents. I love it when there's so much wrapping paper on the floor that they have to wade through it to find the rest of their presents. It's too bad Melissa had to ruin it for me by packing up and leaving while I was napping with Ryan.
