I am about to start looking for a job, but i was going to look into getting a night job so i can be with my kids during the day, but i dont know when i would sleep.
I was wondering if there is anyone on here who works at night, and how they work it out.

Hey msimone, i can tell ya it's not easy. i did it for about 2 1/2 yrs before my daughter was in school full time. The first year she still napped i got home from work about 5am caught 3hrs there then slept when she napped. It depends on what hrs you work.If you work a midnight shift maybe you could catch some after the kids go down to bed. I honestly don't know how i did it. It was the most exhausting few years of my life.

I worked midnights for a while when Jenelle was a baby, and then again when she was about 2 1/2. When she was a baby she slept a lot so I got to sleep when she did. When she was a toddler she was old enough to do everything on her own... I fixed her breakfast when I got home, and then I went to sleep. She would watch cartoons or do whatever for a few hours until I woke up. I know that might sound bad, but she was very independent and I could do it now very easily if I didn't have Gracie. See Gracie is just the opposite of her sister, Gracie gets into EVERYTHING. Jenelle would just sit there, and wake me up if she had a question.. or wanted to talk.. or wanted a hug... okay come to think of it I didn't get very much sleep!! lol But when she took a nap (she always takes at least a two hour nap) I got some good sleep then. And right before you leave for work at night, you can get a few hours in there too. Sometimes that wakes you up, sometimes it makes you want to sleep all night. So you have to see which fits you best. Hope I helped some!
