Hello , fellow SFV family ! !
I am debating on changing my career. I have been doing medical billing for over 6 years now. I work for a reputabal company that is known all over the world for their Medical Expertise !
I know that I am not making what I should. I was tinkering with the idea of going back to school for Medical Terminology. MY employer will pay for it but, I have to stay with them for 6 months after I complete ! No BIG deal . . Medical Transcription pays well and you can work from home. But the type of person that I am , when I get comfy, I cant make a BIG jump into something that I am not familiar with ! I have tried Nursing , graduated but didnt like it ! Stuck with Geriatrics and having a patient pass away every week was very depressing for me so that is why I went into the billing field ! Less patient contact but doing the A/R gets tedious and I get BORED ! ! It takes a lot to keep me interested ! Now that can explain a lot ! I guess that I would like to hear someone else's experiences if any good/bad. . . . Thanks ! !

Amanda why don't you look into becoming a Clincal Research Associate. They are in high demand right now in the biotechnology industry. The pay is good too.

It sounds like you've already got the background with your nursing and medical billing experience to get into the field.

You're welcome. Also, where you live is a hot spot for biotech companies. Doesn't hurt to try and it it's a pretty exciting field doing clinical trial research with new medicines that are being developed.
