At A loss for Words - NOT!
Posted
I work for a large corporation. We had a meeting this morning about 'new and exciting changes' we will have soon.

They handed out a functional org chart today but will not discuss changes one on one until tomorrow. Up to this point, I have been my own little team but have worked with the same group of people for 5 years. According to the chart, I'm being moved to a different team and will have a new supervisor. I emailed my supervisor to confirm that I understand this correctly. She responded 'Can't answer anything until tomorrow. But you have obviously read between the lines.'

So - how are they going to make me wait until tomorrow ?? Smiler I have always been open to change, at least I thought. I am very nervous though about having a new supervisor and being away from my co-workers that are like family. I did not foresee this happening.

So if any of you have any words of encouragement or wisdom about embracing change - please do tell!

I hate changes too.
And I would hate the way they do this, just like you. I feel like an object when I'm being moved like they do sometimes. But then again, it's in nobody's interest if people are moved around against their will, so chances are, they did something that makes sense in the end, for everybody (yeah, this means trusting 'them').

We recently moved offices, no organisational change, just a new building. It's horrible, really, but there are really good sides, because my desk is now close to other people, and I found out it makes things easier to have them nearby...so,

nothing you can do anyways, so let us know how it goes tomorrow, and give it a chance, what else is there to do.
