You could/should check with your local employment developement dept. for available jobs, same place to apply for unemployment benefits if you qualify. If need be consider contacting Social Services since you have a dependant child to get some help while looking for a new job. Not sure if any of that helped, just more details as to exactly what you need answered would help.
