Hi there

There is a program from your child care council that allows you to be certified as child care provider. With this you can take care of other people's children, sort of like having your own child care in your home. This way you can work at home and still take care of your child. You might want to check with your local child care council office and find out more. Hope this helps.

Be careful! I just saw a story on our local St. Louis news about these "stay-at-home" jobs...almost ALL of them are a scam. If you have to pay money for information about their company or "how to get started" it's a rip-off. I sympathize with you. I would LOVE to stay home with my daughter, but let's be realistic. In today's economy, it's nearly impossible. Besides, I don't know what I'd do without the friendship and support of my co-workers... not to mention the insurance and BENEFITS. Give the 9-to-5 daily job routine another look. Taking a different attitude might change your perspective, and possibly your life.

Best of luck!

This is no Scam..you can obtain information from this site. http://www.daycareproviders.com/providers.asp

I also think that sometimes is better to work oustide of the home for your own mental well being. Its true in today's world there isn't much choice of staying home if one is a single mother and does not have a lot of money.
