HI my name is Angel, I am a single mother of 3 girls. 14, 13, and 11. I am a security officer at a mall. I make 8.65 an hour. My junky van costs me 350 by itself plus insurance, gas, etc. I am so unhappy where I live with a man and so are the kids. I have sat down and tried figuring ways to manage to get an apartment. Besides the fact of my job is nights and the girls would have to be home by theirselves. So here I have been on the internet on local unemployent sites. and nothing enough to pay the bills. I have checked for work at home but scared to try anything! How can people live with theirselves scamming single parents that cant make it as it is? I hung my head today, covered my head with the blanket and just cried and cried. I dont want to face anything. I really think I have gotten depressed. IM so drained. Thats sad Cause I am the most bouncy happy person you know. I feel like such a failure. I just want a job that I can support my kids. Surely there are some kind of stay at home jobs that are leggit? Someone help please! Im losing my mind

You are NOT a failure. You are doing all that you can for your girls and if they don't see that now they definitly will see it some day. Hang in there, things are bound to get better!

As far as housing, you might want to check with your local DES and see if they can reccomend some subsidized housing for you. They may also be helpful in finding you a higher paying job. Good luck, and we are here if you need to talk.

The people on this site can offer nearly unlimited suggestions. Grab something they offer and go with it. Most of us have been "there" at one time or another.

Hang in there for your kids...until you can hang in there for yourself.

I will never give up. I cant because of the kids. my battless...yes overwhelming. why because I believed I had the perfect relationship and family this time for the girls and now its ripped apart by I guess what I thought (actually what I believed)was the best. CAnt see past this.
