umm Ok I have another court date tommorrow regarding visitation once again. My ex keeps filing petitions because he has nothing better to do. I have never violated our visitation agreement although he has.

Anyway i was talking to my boss today and told him I have to be out once again for a court hearing.

When my ex and I first separated he filed countless petitions with all false claims. He called acs and a bunch of other ********. So like every month i was in court. Not counting the times i had to leave work because acs called and said they were coming for a visit. They found all the allegation were false.

Last year it changed to maybe every other month appearing in court. I cant believe they would allow him to continue to file and waste everyones time. When the judge starts questioning him he trips himself up and ends revealing the truth. He has nothing on me because i have never done anything wrong. He wont stop until he wins.

Now my boss has been a godsend through all this. He really was understanding. Now it's coming to a point where i am missing so much work because of these court dates.

Yet he continues to file and keeps losing so he files again. Now when I spoke to my boss he told me that he understand my position but he needs to be fair to all the other employees. He said he needs to figure it out and will talk to me later.

I keep running to the bathroom to cry my eyes out then i come back to my desk and bury myself in papers so no one will notice. My hands are shaking as im writing this. I cannot believe this is going on.

Any chance you could come in early or work a little late or even a weekend day to make up the time and work?

I am so sorry, you don't need this stress on top of the stress of court itself!

My job is strictly 9 to 5 and closed weekends so there is no room for me to make up time.

However court went well i was out in about an hour and made it to work for half the day which is better than nothing.

My boss is out today so I have to wait until monday to find out what is going on.

I would say you need to bring this issue up to the Judge's attention the next time you go to Court. He keeps filing all these petitions and nothing is coming of it yet you are in jeopardy of losing your job because of his false accusations. I would then sue the ******* for slander. Just my opinion.

I agree. The judge needs to know. Also, if you lose your job, this is a GREAT suit for slander/libel. Because now you have lost something............

Is New York an at will state?

I agree with Smshy & Lisa...Bring the matter to the courts attention!! Do you have someone representing you? Is there a "victm advocate" you can speak to about this b/c if it is going to cause you to loose your job it sounds a great deal like abue to me!! I can't believe they stand for him manipulating the system like this!! Stay strong & I hope your boss can find more understanding & patience until you get through all this!!

Hi guys

Well I went to court on Friday and it got thrown out once again. The judge ruled that it belonged in supreme court.

When everything first started two years ago he filed everything in family court once he realized things werent going his way he withdrew everything and moved it to supreme court where our divorce became final.

Then he started petitions on visitation in supreme court. When he realized he wasnt getting his way there he went back to family court.

My lawyer told me that if he continues that i can file a petition similar to what Lisa said. He said i would have to show all the petitions and basically he's rewording them but filing the same claim and his visitation can be taken away. So Im waiting for his next move.

This time I had a lawyer represent me because it was going to far.

Now my boss hasnt said anything so far. He was in a meeting and on the phone all morning & most of the afternoon. I am going to go in and talk to him when i get a chance and update him as to what happened friday and I will see what he says.

Apparently he wants to torture me! I went and gave him a heads up on what happened friday but he didnt say anything except that he understood it was out of my hands but it was getting crazy. So I continue to wait.
