I have to say something here. when you have a child, all pride aside, you do what you have to do to support it. And before you ask, YES, three years ago, while pregnant with my second I tool a job at McDonalds to make sure rent was paid, food was on the table, and my then 3 year old child was taken care of. So many people are angry and bitter with Bush for fighting an "unnecessary war" or for "getting back" at the enemy on behalf of his Dad. 9-11 was like having someone personally set foot in your living room and violate you and your children and your property. Would you allow that to go unanswered? I think not. Sick and Tired, I was severely depressed so I know what it's like believe me and the longer you go without help it gets worse. I know your position. So many nights I dreamed I was jumping out of my window to my death. Maybe I missed it, but can you apply for Medi-Cal? It's government health insurance for you and your child. I don't know what the qualifications are but do look into it. If McDonald's is the best you can do right now, go for it. It's an income (and you can pay for medication for depression and start to hold your head up again). You will soon be extremely marketable, but for now you might have to humble yourself for your child. McDonald's will put meals on the table and it will keep a roof over your head. Stay strong!

First i never said anything against the troops who fight for this country. Next you dont know if im a former marine , or what so stop passing judgment on me when you dont know me. The Prsident and the Congress are conducting a war that costs billions of dollars to have with no Proof whatsoever and that is reflective of being ridiculous and wrong as he and no othe politician democrat, republican or whater has the right to do without answering to the American people period

It is ridiculous to try to make it seem like ive said anything against freedom or the troops fighting this war when clearly i did not. Oh i appreciate freedom my dear and your presumption of something otherwise is unfair and totally unreasonable to be frank. You dont know me or if i have served in the armed forces or what, so how are you going to tell me to apprecate freedom when i might have been serving to proctect yours.

But people like you dont think of that do you, you just make assumptions and accusations like you do know me or anyone else who god help them simply wants to see peace in the world. A thing which people like you want to make seem like its a huge crime to not want to see people die and not want to see billions thrown away when childeren are hungry in this country, housing is 2.2 million short in affordable housing and yes my dear unemployment is under funded.

Social programs i have funded from my paycheck for years and no i dont mind it, if more programs were in place sooner, more people would have more productive outlooks, jobs, situations in life. I never said i had a right to unemployment my dear but the fact is, thats my tax money not yours, my mothers my grandfathers and that is that.

You may resent that, all you like but its a fact. I worked for that, i contributed for many years to a now failing social security as well, so please dont even attempt to insult my intellect and imply that my charater is one of a charity case who is begging for money from the government for nothing, not the case.

The narrow minded people in this world who want to tell me to appreciate peace and libery have nerve. You dont knwo what i appreciate. I appreciate my life and my country but dont appreciate being told im a complainer when i have a right, a say and a vested interest in how this nation spends its funds.

Sybil you can argue with every person on this board anytime you choose but it will not make you feel better. Do I care that you live off of unemployment? not really. Do I care that you attack people everytime you get on the board? yeah, guess I do.

By saying that you would never work at McDonalds becasue it is beneath you, you insulted all of us who have sunk that low to feed our children.

By saying the war is worthless you insulted those of us who have family members and other loved ones fighting rigth now while you sit on your tail and complain about payhing for it with your hard earned money.

Allow me to give some more input here. This is a "Support Network" And sometimes support comes in different "flavors".
Advice comes in different forms, and when advice is given we all the have the option to take what we need and leave the rest.

We're not here to argue whether the war is justifiable. We are here to offer support as best we can. If we have differing opinions we need to remember to "agree to disagree" without getting into personal attacks with those we may disagree with.

but that is not what i said. Not what i said at all. This in in writing and still it gets misinterpreted. I said Mcdonalds wont pay my electric bill, meaning that i have so many bills that it wont pay but one of them, thats the meaning of that.

I find it very interesting that you dont bother to ask me what i meant by that, that you and many others here just assume thats what i meant.

No i am not a mean spirited person. You do not even know me, how in the world can you make that assertion? You havent asked me any questions or even asked what i meant by that , no you want to believe that this is what i meant, it wasnt.

Never said anything like that. I would like to stay employed for your information at one job so i wont have to quit and leave the employer in the learch at a moments notice and to be stable in the next job, thats what i meant and think of.

You have to ask questions to get answers, and to know what someone means you have to get answers just that simple. For yoru information i have had to sell my dam blood plasma to pay for bus fare before, i have sunk to low standards to which you cant even imagine.

I have done that regularly to buy diapers, have taken everything back in my kitchen to get a refund at the store to survive, any and everything to survive, have been a telemarketer, sold plasma regularly until i fainted and had to stop so please dont tell me im a snob against anyone.

i know im not, im trying but that doesnt seeem to count among people liek yourself .

I never said you were mean, I do not think you are mean but I did think some of the language used to express your feelings appeared offensive. If you had said that getting a job at McDonalds would not pay your bills I would never have been offended. When someone says they will not take a lame job at McDonalds that only is good for teenagers, it may come off as slightly derrogatory. I see that was not your intent but you have to see that 2M2C's post was taken just the same way yours was. You did not question what she said either and just unloaded barrels at her. Maybe it is a problem with us interpreting you wrong, if that is the case I am sorry but it also could be that you did not express yourself well and we should not be expected to question every seemingly offensive comment made to make sure you meant it that way. Please re-read the intial posts. I do not see where they were meanspirited or unkind. Harsh yes. But can't we all take a few harsh things said for our benefit once in awhile?

I do care about you, everytime I have come back to this and your other thread I have hoped to find someone who is a little more calmed down and less defensive. I will continue to look for that and I hope to see it soon.
