Easter is almost upon us!! AND spring!!! Big Grin

What are your plans for Easter?

In this crummy country my son only gets (good)friday and easter monday off (admittedly, he does get 2 weeks off end april/may), so that doesn't leave much time to go anywhere, if we wanted to.

Furthermore, it's the start of the tourist high season here, which means tripping over millions of tourists downtown.

I just hope the weather is halfway decent (SUN!!) so I can stay on my balcony and plant me spring blooms..............
and eat lots of chocolate easter eggs of course!! Big Grin

Kai and I already stuffed the eggs for the Easter Bunny (me) to hide for her on Easter. She says she wants to keep the easter bunny so she can have chocolate all the time. lol

We are probably going to have a big dinner with my family as always. Then the kids (well it's only Kai now) will hunt for easter eggs.

I was raised Catholic but I dont really do much for that side of easter anymore.

Oh, THAT would kill me! The only way I've stayed half-way sane this Lent is by keeping all sweets out of site.

The boys and I are flying to North Carolina to spend Easter and a few more days with my beau. It's going to be a very busy couple of weeks for us... we're traveling all over and getting the beau moved from North Carolina to Wisconsin at the end of the month! (Yippeeee!)

Since we will be on the road for Easter, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for making the Easter festivities fun for my 9 year-old? We will be staying in a hotel, so the egg hunt thing would be a little difficult, and since we're flying, I can't really pack up easter baskets and treats... you know?

Yankee, I know it's not very "Eastery" but you HAVE to go to Texas Steakhouse!!! I lived in NC for two years while Exhusband was stationed there and we went there ALL the time. I'm tempted to drive all the way to NC just to go there. LOL!

I got my kids an Easter "bucket" from WAL-MART...Yes, Paul, I know. Wink Our walmarts around here and extremely clean. This is a smaller town though.

They were only a buck and are pretty cute with Eggs painted all over them and handles. Then of course I got plastic eggs and a ton of candy and a few toys to put in the Easter "Buckets".

I got myself a TON of candy too...cuz I think I deserve it. Smiler

Of course you deserve it!!

We all do!! Big Grin

Well, it's just gone midnight so now easter is officially on.

Got my easter eggs today. Thank god you can get english easter eggs in a couple of places here.(the ones here I find too rich, filled with belgian chocolates, etc). The English Cadbury's eggs are the best. One with cream eggs - yummy! - in it, and one the yummy terry's orange chocolate easter egg......(will they survive till sunday? haha).

The best bit of all is having FOUR days lie-in, no alarm going off at 7 a.m. and groanin my way out of bed 10 mins later.............bliss!!
Methinks I'll be cosied up anyway for the weekend cos outside it's snowing!! ugh (we're talking wet slush....), hope some good films on telly.......

and if we do make it out the door......sunday night there's a brasil festival on, and monday soirée senegalaise............both will be good.

Have a lovely easter everyone!!
