I found this site quite by chance and Im glad I did.
I have two young boys one is in school full time the other is not yet in school. And I am simply frustrated I work part time as a day care provider and this summer it will be full time and I am also struggling to get my online business going. I have been checking around for information on free grants that could give me some extra money to work with you know as far as helping with living exspenses and improving my online business but everyone wants you to pay for the info its like gees people if i had that much money to buy the silly books i wouldnt be searching for things like this.
Just once Id like to see someone do something just because they can.
Of course its not just that thats bugging me I am having difficulty with my oldest and i really feel he would benefit from having a big brother as I am simply not ready to let a man in my life that could potentially become dad to my boys. So i get him put on the list for the big brother big sister program and I called them yesterday after not hearing anything for quite sometime and they tell me my son is a waste of time
now wait a minute no child is a waste of time in my book so they have taken him off their list basically and refused to even find a big bro for him since when do they have the right to say what child is worthy and what child is quote"A waste of time" unquote?

Sound like it just going to get worst Whenyou call the supervisor and tell them this story!
Have you called the main 800 line and asked to speak to a supervisor yet? You probably got some bubble gum popping right out of class, volunteering so to get class credit.

If you find anything out about money stuff - we are all ears here!

Do you go to church? That is relaxing to some.
How about meditation or yoga? Free stuff on the internet on how to begin.

Or my fav! A warm, mildly hot bubble bath set with candels. And yes I have to put a timer in the room with me or I think Ide just sleep there all night.

Seem that things can only get better Just hang in there.

I am new to the site also, and very glad i found it! It helps to know there are others that feel the same way I do or have been through similar situations.
I have one boy-6, and two girls-8 & 1. It seems imposible to find help when you are trying to get back on your feet. I have found that single moms qualify for help in many areas through the FIA (family independance agency). I am waiting to get in to see one of the counselers, but have been told that they can help with bills, food, child care, schooling, and more. Its hared to find info on line, I looked for weeks myself. I finally got the number to the local FIA office and made some calls.
