Somedays it is more than I can do to keep up with the basics. Any ideas on how to cope with life when all I want to do is hide? I am on meds. for depression and most days I do well but somedays it feels like more than I can handle.

Hollybeach,

I'm sorry you're feeling badly.

Hang in there... I've had my share of bad days. Try to do one simple thing for yourself each day -- walking to clear your mind, listen to music, or just enjoy the quietness of your room.

(Sometimes I hide in my closet to feel better. Smiler )

I agree with Tessmit's advice. However, I'm not sure hiding in a closet is the best thing, but I have been known to do that on occasion Wink

Tessmit advice is great but also try to take yourself out of the situation and look at your issues under a different perspective. Sometimes our problems or concerns may seem bigger than what they really are or what we can handle and if they are really big then the best way to find a resolution is by taking different aproaches.

You can always count on the wise members of this forum to show you different perspectives and solutions for someone might have already lived what you are going through.

BTW Welcome
