I've never done anything like this, much less been in this situation. My son is almost 9mo. old and his father left me August 1st for another woman. I had no idea there were any problems between us. We were together almost 3 years, and he up and left me for a thing at work. Because of this I lost my job, our apartment and I feel like I'm loosing my mind. I had to move back in with my parents but do not have many friends around. I know I have a great resource in my mom (my father kicked us out when I was 1 1/2yrs old)but, I feel like I can't talk to her because she hates my ex so much. Not many people undertand that I still love him and why it hurts so much. I also feel like a horrible parent when I cry in front of my son. Matters are not helped by the fact that when I talk to my ex and "it" is not around, he tells me he loves me and wants to "fix" everything. I won't go back to him, but I know he's going to be in my life forever. I'm so confused, and feel like my heart is still broken and bleeding inside. Sorry this was so long, if anyone wants to know more let me know. I am so lost...

Loranah119,

I'm sorry you're going through this. I remember when I was going though my divorce nothing seemed to make sense and my feelings betrayed me at times. Don't forget you're important and insist he treats you as such.

Hi sweetie!
I know just how you feel.
I was dumb enough to go back and guess what?!?
I am here on this site, if that tells you anything!
Where are you from?
Honestly, I wish I could say it is easy, but in time it will get easier.
The best advice I have is to stay BUSY!
Keep your mind off of it.
Send me a message if you want to talk!

This is simply an outside observation but men who cheat seem to me to have low self esteem. So having more than one woman pads their ego. Many people think they cheat because they think they are "all that" but really they just want everyone else to think so. The thing is if he can feed his ego by keeping you waiting on the side he will for sure. He'd probably love to make you into the other woman now. They don't like to let go of women who give them attention. I recommend you keep your distance.
I am sorry your having such a hard time right now. You'll find this is good therapy to vent and make a few friends. I'm offering to be here if you need a friend. Just hve confidence you deserve much better than how you have been treated. big huggies

Courage doesnt always roar, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying "I will try again tomorrow."

Welcome Loranah,

First of all there's nothing wrong with you. Your among lot's that have been in similar situations. Hang on and focus on the positive, it does get better in time just as Carter's Mama said. There's plenty of advice here and words of wisdom.

Welcome Loranah and Carters Mama

Thank you to everybody who posted their helpful words. I would love to talk more with you but it seems the free membership doesn't go very far. For those of you in Michigan, strange question. Nobody who isn't one of the parents or from the court can't but in and try to get visitation on behalf of the other parent can they? The new gf messaged me on myspace pleading my ex's case today. I didn't respond to her and don't plan on. It also irritates me that she posted a blog talking about how much she loves his older son and getting to know him. She says she would like to get to know my son and spend time with him. I almost feel selfish, but I don't want her anywhere near my son. I don't trust either of them to be around my son and not try to hurt him, for quite a few reasons. Hopefully by next week the court should contact me, but for now I'm guessing on alot of issues. ty again everybody.
