Not sure what to write in here but thought I'd give it a shot. I've had depression issues most of my life but it really hit after my son was first born in '01 & lasted for a good long time after. I got help; meds & talk therapy but now am concerned again that w/ this 2nd pregnancy, it's going to hit my again-except harder. I'm hoping to come up w/ some new strategies to deal w/ it because I don't want to put both kids thru what my son first went thru back then. Any thoughts?

Hi KitKat,
I have been dealing with depression since my daughter was born in '99 and have been on meds since then and have been to numerous therapy sessions........so I know exactly how you feel!
Don't worry about it, just be prepared for it when it happens and try to keep in mind that this doesn't make you a bad parent, just human.
As long as you deal with the depression in a productive way (meds and therapy) you should be fine and remember that you need to be happy in order for your children to be happy....don't be scared just deal with it when it happens, you don't need the added stress to your pregnancy!
