scared about going through this pregnancy, alone...i have a history of postpartum depression...afraid that the depression and anxiety are going to show up during this pregnancy...i am a newly single mother...with two little boys and a baby on the way...

Well the good news is is that you're aware of your past encounters with postpartum depression. Next time you feel depressed, just think:

THIS IS ONLY POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION AND IT TOO WILL FADE!

You're afraid and anxious? What are you doing to remedy that? Please don't just sit back and let it happen. That is got to be the worst thing you can do for yourself and your children.

I'm not sure what your situation is like regarding what support systems you have going and what your schedule is like. How about tapping into your local community center that offers networking support systems for expecting moms. Some people here have recommended churches; crisis centers..

If all else fails, we're always here for you so hang in there. You'll be fine. We've all been there to one degree or another.

Stay healthy: eat, sleep and exercise the best you can. This will help with your depression in a big way.

thank you, dr jes! yes, i will definately gather a support system! i am new to texas, with no family here and only a few friends, but i am going to tap into the resources made available, here...

also, i'm curious....what are your suggestions for a remedy of anxiety during this time? besides doing square breathing i kind of am letting it happen...i've had lots of anxiety today...feel like i might hyperventilate, lol...
