hi, me again, does anyone know how long it takes for Prozac to help (if it's going to?)

It will take at least a couple weeks for it to build up enough in her system to even begin to know how much it's going to help....
And then there's also the dosage to consider. We started my daughter off with 10mg which was alright. After we took her off of it the first time and she had a big slip backwards, we ended up at 10mg again but shortly after upped it to 20mg.
The prescribing doctor should be monitoring her every month as to how she's doing on the meds. The feds are pretty insistent about that, just as prozac happens to be the only one they've approved for youths.
Have they given you a much paperwork to read through and understand what to expect, possible side effects etc.?
