I just got off the phone w/ my docs nurse & was given some hard news. My last doc visit we did a pap; turns out that the results came back w/ mild displaysia. I've had that ring in a time or two & am not too concerned. But, what does have me concerned is that she mentioned that the results also show Human Pap Virus. Kinda scared about that one. Is that one of those that are w/ you for life or just until baby is born? Granted, I've had genital herpes since Dec. '95. Doc wants to do a coloscopy (sp?) to get a 'visual' on it. I am so confused on that one. Also, it sounds like doc wants to skip the 3 hr test & head straight into the monitoring of my glucose levels because my levels were so high. Frowner Feel like I've just been hit alongside the head w/ info! I'm like what, what, what?! Confused
I also went to a social worker who is w/ WIC & she's gonna see if she can't get me referred to BHR for the depression that I feel is creeping up on me.
Reason #5 that I don't want to get prego ever again-so many complications/tests!
I really need a spot to unload all the things going thru my head, the worries~aside from the pregnany, but dealing w/ the baby's father as well! Thinking about my son & how all this is affecting him too.
Anyways, I'll try & keep an update on all of this.

HPV is very common about 80% of the population has it...Its not a big deal depending on your strain (some can cause warts)

so your not alone I would bet prob a lot of the girls on here have it and either wont admit or just plain don't know.

Men can carry it for short times but women get it.

as for the herp it resides at the base of your tail bone and can be seen through a colonoscopy and the sores you get around your girl bits is the little buggers coming forward.

I knew being a peer councilor would come in handy one day....

Your not alone so no worries so all you have to do really is inform your partner of the herp and forget about the HPV...

no need to run down a list if you dont have too

there is plenty of info online

I dated a girl once with the herp as long as you take precations and are up front to the guy it can be kewl

and for you people reading this no I dont have the herp. hpv maybe who knows can't see it in men this is a girl only thing so nee ner nee ner

Hi! I am sorry you are having a rough day. But I wanted to tell you you are not alone. I was also diagnosed with HPV, but the pre-cancerous kind. Everything else was negative. I have to admit I am a little worried about it, but at this point there is not much my doctors can do. I am six months pregnant and they told me they will have to wait until after my babies are born to do the colposcopy. So I totally feel you. It's a bummer getting that sort of news.

Good luck with everything... I hope it gets better for you Razzer

Yea, I do know quite a bit about having herpes~one of those things where you're the pert near expert on your particular condition, ya know? Every single one of my partners since '95 have been told what I have. Never have gotten any 'eww' remarks.
I was reassured by a co-worker that she had it too when she was pregnant & things were fine. Big help to me! Smiler
Thanx for the ears..

Depression took me for a ride last night. I guess as sort of a reminder that it's still there & the hollowness it has to it. My sons birthday is in a few days & last night, I didn't care. I didn't care about celebrating it, didn't want to do anything. Eeker This is his first year where he's inviting friends & stuff. This morning, I woke up better but feel like depression has it's hands on my shoulders & is whispering in my ears. I'm kinda getting scared now... remembering what it was like & not wanting to be there again. I want to call the nurse & tell her what I've been feeling lately & see if we can get a rush on therapy.
