Hello, I am 16 years old and I have an 18 month old boy. I am a writer, or at least a poet. I have over one hundred poems already. I have gotten published by anthologies twice already, but I want to do more. I want to publish my own book. I really don't know where to go from here. How do I find and contact a publisher who will be willing to look at my work? Does anyone know how I might be able to do this?

Hi Lux,
Have you tried Google?

No matter what you see, no matter what you hear, no matter what you read...always always always get a second opinion... and then a third.

Wow, did I just take a trip back in time. When I was 16, I had my first child and over a hundred poems. Also, published in anthologies, about six. It's hard to find a publisher, but you might want to start by submitting your poems to literary magazines. It's tough to get started, I'm still trying, don't give up on it, I did and regret it everyday. Maybe you can make this dream come true for both of us. Best of luck

Hi Lux, It is a great thing to be creative an express yourself through your art. If this can be of any help~ many people now choose to start on a smaller level and build their way up by self publication. Because through your friends and familly is a great way to get started. You may also think of building yourself a web site with your work on it then submit your site-link to many different url's out there which do welcome exchanges. All good things take time. If you have a web site, I would gladly add a link to your work. If you have never built a web page, perhaps you could try http://www.geocities.com amongst many others and get your free site. This is how I began. Cheers for now. here is my art site
