Hello, there. I am a television writer doing some research on single fathers. Can anybody share their experience with raising a child or children without any help from the mother? Full custody or after the loss of a mother? What are the challenges? Success stories? Where do you seek help? The most rewarding moments?

Hi, How about some more credentials than just this? Writing for what television show, location etc? What exactly will you be doing with the stories? Typically you should contact site administration before posting as such to the board so that we can know more about you ahead of time.
Please fill me/us in some more. It might just get you some response that way, otherwise members tend to be cautious about such posts with the amount of solicitation and spamming that takes place in forums.

I apologize for upsetting you. I am not looking to solicit or buy anybody's life story. I am developing a project about single fathers and I'm simply looking for some direction as far as issues and topics to explore. Only for those who would like to share. If not, I'll read information. However, hearing from a personal experience is usually more helpful. I also did send an email to the site administration whether this posting is appropriate. Thanks.

I'm not upset Just looking out for the members here as well as you maybe getting more responses. As an example.....I received messages from two members after this was posted questioning the legitimacy of it.

And not to brow beat you, but...you still don't mention anything more about what the project is, where it's to be used etc. Most people want to know this stuff when giving up thier personal stories. I personally am raising a daughter/full custody with no help.... making it through the struggles and reaping the rewards. However without more information I also wouldn't be too inclined to just ramble off about it for an unknown project.

I'm sure that site admin would also have suggested that you give more info of yourself so as to help people feel more at ease in participating in your project.
