I am always ask these same questions over and over.

I thought I would post a brief overview of my thoughts to them.

Q.Can you answer a few questions for me??
Can you tell me what stigma if any is attached to single mothers?
What do you think society's current approach towards this specific group of people is?
Are you able to identify any other support systems available for single mothers?
Can you identify for me the populations special needs? ( since we all have special needs)
What is your thoughts on why there isn't alot of community support available for single mothers. (its got to be very tough at times, and i find it strange that there isn't much available out there?)

(one lady said it was difficult to get a rental property! and another expressed domestic voilence was a major reason for increases in single mothers!)

Let me add first this is not a single mothers fight but also single father. Though single fathers have some different facets of difficulties.

You may ask your questions and get many responses from may different points of view.

Each single parent has different stages they go through, the same as those married. But you will find that those that are Single and Parents have a very strong will.

Most do not want to be branded like the name on jeans. This came and continues to grow as women enjoy their freedom of not being property but equals. Equals in the since that " were one is weak and the other in strong... - we have each others backs" This is the relationship that most single parent spring from. This can be either male or female.
Thus causing a riff for another who wants to be leader or subordinate. Additionally, the beginning of the break down of the relationship.
This break down can cause abuse - either physical, emotional or financial.

Most persons that are bias against a single parent is due to the core of the personality type of a single parent, the type that believes in fairness, a win-win situation, and more important that the weaker be protected. Unscrupuos persons [like rentals that you mention] will steer clear because they know that they maybe exposed.

Since most single parents are busy living life, they are silent in demanding their own rights. Thus aid to single parents is limited.

This is just a very general idea of an overall single parent situation. Relationships are very complex, so please do not take this as gospel but just as it is. a very generalization, like a breeze over an ocean.
