I know first hand the financial and emotional
struggles that arise from Single parenting!!!
Being a single parent is a tough job!! There are
many people who are married and have 2 incomes and are barely making ends meet! That's why I am excited about The Hope House!! The Hope House is a place where a single parents can recieve help with thier immediate material needs: Baby Items, School supplies, Clothing, food and occasionally we have furniture that is donated and given. The community response has been wonderful! Walmart has given us a small grant which we used to buy Christmas presents for the children that have come to The Hope House. Publix donated a gift card and Fantastic Sams has just come on board to donate Vouchers on an ongoing basis for free haircuts!! I am in the processes of speaking to other local companies in hope that they will give charitable donations of thier goods & services!! The Hope House is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Riverview in Florida. I don't live in that area or need these types of services myself, but wanted to say that what The Hope House is trying to do is commendable.
