Welcome

Hi Darlingk, welcome!

I can't image how I'll deal when my son grows up on me and doesn't spend every weekend with me. Although I have never been married, I know how you feel with "I never thought this would be my life...". I felt the same way when I had my son, I always figured when I had kids, I'd be married and only have children with one person. I've gotten past that now, but I know the pain we put ourselves through when life doesn't go how we planned. Don't be too hard on yourself. Stick around and you'll find a lot of great people and a lot of support!

You know the rare nights I get to have to myself I feel so alone at night. Sure, I could go out and have a great time but I find myself lost in a sea of couples. What's a single dad to do?

It's hard enough after the kids go to be every night. I used to love the little bit of free time I'd have to myself. Now I kind of dread it.
