Hello Christopher,
that's a very good idea and who knows, something might come up earlier than you think.
You definitely sound determined to find a solution, therefore you will find a solution.
I wish I could help, but I guess I am really too far away, about 6000miles.
Wanted to welcome you on the site as well , so WELCOME and glad you found the way and hope you'll be around to chat and discuss common sujects.
You mentioned the word scary here, and in your other post the fact that you're scared. Yes, I am scared too very often, alone with my son Ian who is almost 2.5 years old. But most times things end up working out, sometimes it just took a long time.
All I am saying is, you came to the right place and we have a lot in common.

id like that ... i have a lot of questions ..
mostly about what a judge might do
she has signed custody to me as long as I keep
the week to week visitation going. my sons SSI
is now in my name and she has pissed my sons doctors off at my sons last hospital stay.
But I hear court rullings arent always the way
parents file and dont know what my ex will try to do in court.at the same time im trying to be as civil as possible for my children as to not cause
anything bad to happen like her having to pay child support. I dont want to put her in that situation .

can't really help you there myself...but others around here on the forum surely can...
Check out the 'Law & Legal Issues Forum', and you could of course post your specific questions there as well.
I know a few people around Kissimmee (not sure how far away that is from you), but I guess they don't have much experience with kids (more with aeroplanes).
I can be no help at all I guess.

Try putting out a want ad for a live in nanny, free rent for caring for your kids. You will probably be overwhelmed with responses.

Judges in florida will do what is in the best interest of the children. If she has signed custody over to you then a judge will up hold that. Have you looked into getting help with paying for daycare. I have two kids 2 years and 7 months I have subized daycare- I pay 20.50 a week for child care. If you go to court to get custdoy of your kids most likely the judge will order child support. Im going through the whole court battle right now but its taking a while because Im doing it my self I dont have the money to pay a lawyer. How old are you kids?

There is actually a web site dedicated to single parents that are looking to share a house...it's called coabode.com. I can't say that I had much luck there, but maybe you will. Seems to be mostly single moms, however...

Christopher,
I also am in Polk County, and as mentioned in a previous response, wondering if you have checked out the Department of Youth, Children, and Families. If you are working and are within guidelines then it is possible to receive vouchers to some very good daycares and schools. You just have to check them out to see what you are comfortable with. I am fixing to have a newborn and was told by my mom care worker that funding for daycare for her can be as low as $4 a week based on how much $ I am bringing in. So, check that out, it may be just the solution you are looking for.
Just keep looking up and remember that if God knows what happens to the sparrow he certainly knows what is going on with you and has all the power to handle what feels like an impossible situation.
